Business Types
There are five main legal forms a business can take…
- Sole trader
- Limited company
- Partnership
- Limited liability partnership (LLP)
- Cooperative
If you want to work on your own the choice is between sole trader and limited company. If you want to work with others, the choice is between partnership, limited liability partnership, limited company or cooperative. You could also be a sole trader and employ others, rather than working with them.
